MARC DAVIDSON
MAY 1 - JUN 3
OPENING MAY 12, 8 - 10PM

Scar is a collection of scarification and body modification images from the Surma tribe in the Lower Omo Valley in Ethiopia. Scarification and body modification are major cultural components to the Surma and while most scarification is aesthetic in nature, certain scars and body modifications are more symbolic. Scar is a visual journey into the world of African tribal scarification and body modification as represented in the Surma tribe of Ethiopia. Curated by Marc Davidson.
