Tree Planting
Planting trees in Manitoba is a rite of passage
for many young adults. Johnson who has taken part
in this activity for a number of summers has made
it the subject of her recent project. She combines
the photographs that she shot during the course of
her summers, and sculptural figures which she
constructs to create wonderfully weaved narratives
constructed from memory and photographic images.
