Depiction

“Depiction” is a photographic series that employs
the lens-based phenomenon of depth of field to
investigate the fragmented nature of human vision
and the artifice of pictorial construction.
Elements of the picture move in and out of focus,
revealing its composite layers from immediate
foreground to infinity. “Depiction” represents both
a composition and a deconstruction. The
photographs elongate time slowing down the eyes’
movement and evoking our consciousness of the
way in which we see.
