Movements in Still Time

Three international pinhole artists experiment
with the process
of representing time. Thomas Bachler (Germany)
explores
photography through the trigger of a gun. Shooting
through a
cardboard box, a pinhole camera is created and the
resulting
image captures a “Scene of Crime”. William
Mokrynski
(Canada) explores travel and the formation of
memory through
interwoven layers within a pinhole camera,
creating an image
that is not always real yet fixed in our memory.
Mabel Odessey
(France) intimately explores how sound can be
expressed
through light, capturing the tension, suspires and
incidents of
improvisation. The images resonate with the
sounds
and
atmosphere of music. Mabel Odessey will also be
teaching
workshops, with music and the use of a pinhole
camera.
