Projections:
This exhibition presents the first major survey of
works exploring the development of cinematic
installations in the history of Canadian art from
1965 to the present, involving the media of
slides, film and video. The artists in the
exhibition include Stan Douglas, Michael Snow, Ian
Carr Harris, Janet Cardiff & George Bures Miller,
Genevieve Cadieux, Nathalie Melikian, Rodney
Graham, Krzysztof Wodiczko, David Hoffos,
Murray Favro, Wyn Geleynse, Judy Radul and others.
The exhibition is curated by Barbara Fischer and
co-produced by the Doris McCarthy Gallery,
(UTSC), Blackwood Gallery (UTM), the University of
Toronto Art Centre, and the Justina M. Barnicke
Gallery (Hart House, University of Toronto
downtown campus).
