These black and white photographs were made in
Toronto,
primarly between 2004 and 2007. Contasting
formats
and
views, from square close ups to panaromic vistas
complement
the variety of subjects from the decontextualized
statues and
facades of the Guild Inn to the recontextualized
surfaces of the
Royal Ontario Museum. Echoing behind these
photographs is
the history of Toronto, from a shadow subcapitol
of the Bristish
Empire to a world class city in waiting,
