Jim Blomfield From Rock And Ages Past

May 2–30,  2009

Societies are forged from the interplay
between environment and history.
A harmonious oasis has emerged on
the Greek island of Sifnos despite the
realities of limited space, a hilly, rocky
terrain, a harsh climate and an oftenturbulent
5,000-year history. Blomfield
provides the viewer with both expansive
views and intimate details from
present–day Sifnos through his black–
and-white images presented as distinct
panoramas and triptychs.
