explores the nature and meaning of
photographic portraiture. Featuring the work of
more than 20 artists including
Berenice Abbott, Mathew Brady,
Edwin Gailits, Mary Ellen Mark, Wendy
Snyder MacNeil and Gabor Szilasi, the
exhibition reveals how portraits distill
aspects of the human condition, its fragility
and vulnerability.
