Hank Young, better known as The Gladstone Cowboy, worked at the Gladstone Hotel as the elevatoroperator. More than just a hotel storyteller, Hank was a symbol of days gone past. He kept an eye on everyone in the neighborhood and was a gentleman with old fashioned ways. His recent passing in October 2009 had an emotional impact on those who loved him and also symbolizes changes in the Queen Street West neighborhood.
Paiva's short documentary about Hank will screen on May 1st at 7pm as part of the opening reception.
