Witek’s first CONTACT exhibition features images from Germany, including works from his 2001 – 2004 residence. Deutschland features black and white fibre-based photographs from negatives by master printer Antonio Jose Costa from Lisbon. Witek had the good fortune to travel widely and discover unique “studios” for his work. Deutschland prominently features two of his favorite places: Hotel Bogota in Berlin and Hirschsprung Rail Station near Freiberg, as well as images from his upcoming book, Viragem.
