Jeffrey Berman Talisman

Ten small objects made large float against backgrounds, both real and imagined. For Berman these trinkets have a deeply personal significance. Each one is a touchstone, a memory, a link to the past. He combines the beautiful objects with a sense of nostalgia to create compelling images. To quote psychologist James T. Neill, “Objects both shape and reveal our identities and narratives are woven consciously and unconsciously around objects in the construction of self.”
