Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is the molecule that encodes genetic instructions used in development and functioning of all living organisms. Nearly every cell in our bodies has the same DNA, making it our primary individual identifier and therefore a most apt name for an exhibition in which many distinct persons express their identities through photography. The annual Gallery 44 Members’ exhibitions are like photographic organisms, created through evolving consensus of individuals in the context of art.
