Donna Lypchuk Art For Lounges, Lobbies, and Living Rooms
Apr 29–May 23, 2016
This salon-style show of “fauxtographiie” by writer and artist Lypchuk exemplifies the “joy of immediacy” that comes with creating art using a cellphone. Included are “Cell Phone Turners” that capture cloudscapes and landscapes, “Mannequin Girls” that are subtle commentary on gender identity, and graphic floral explosions celebrating “Cherry Blossom Madness” in High Park. These images are simply pretty with a retro quality that suits the antique store.
