Middleton’s previous work has often dealt with the theme of duality. For her, this is manifested by the relationship between being in the present and creating a narrative of past existence, a simultaneous experience within a single moment. The work in this exhibition reimagines historical imagery both personal and anonymous, engaging latent memories and emotional honesty.
