FIRST LOOK FIRST explores the stories of 15 individuals from Toronto with varying experiences with human rights challenges. Each photo captures a Toronto landmark with the subject taking up little space in the composition. This is done to challenge the viewer to realize that unless they pay closer attention, they may not recognize there are social injustices all around them. What they see the first time (first look) may differ from what they perceive if they look more deeply (look first).
