Kurt Stallaert The Hunting Project

The Hunting Project is a never-before seen series of moving stills that circle and stalk the theme of hunting. Stallaert, a Belgian artist, strips cinema of its traditional narrative impulse with the use of vivid, deliberate, slow-motion video. At first glance, it appears like a still, but by fusing his moving-image medium with that of still photography, Stallaert brings a heightened awareness to both the magic in the photo, and the rewards in attentive observation.
