Joseph Kennel Annotations in High Park

Kennel started this body of work during the winter lockdown of 2021 as he walked through High Park During these walks he became enamoured with the natural beauty within the park, and the ways in which it is entangled with human elements. These images complicate and explore how visitors interact with the park, constantly passing through it and leaving marks behind.

The images in this exhibition act as a survey of all the little ecosystems and peculiar passing interactions that humans have with them.
