We touch others’ shoulders by accident;
we hold hands to dance;
we kiss each other for love.
This series links tight to Chen’s personal emotions and experience. Their work reproduces familiar visuals of various raw food and is influenced by Rene Magritte, his apple. It is not about illusion and reality but the meaning, the symbol. Chen tried to find out the relationship between each position and different objects in every body of work and what the definition of distance really is. Chen welcomes everyone to find their own definitions of distance through the images.
