Claudette Abrams, Anthea Baxter-Page LACUNA: Encountering Liminal Spaces
May 1–Jun 3, 2023
Artists Claudette Abrams and Anthea Baxter-Page each present photo-based series exploring concepts of LACUNA—defined as a blank space, interval, or gap—as it relates to liminal space.
Liminality is a Latin-derived term that characterizes experiences of being in an in-between position, limbo, or suspension between two states, places, events, or things. It is a threshold point where rigid expectations retreat, change, reform, and form anew.
Exhibited outdoors as a collective of artworks in individual freestanding vitrines mapped around Toronto Island.
