Gun Roze MANHATTAN 1982: Revisited

Toronto-born Gun Roze photographed his mostly street-based MANHATTAN 1982 series during two visits to the city in that year. He shot everything on Kodak 35mm colour negative film, freely capturing individuals and street scenes that impressed him while he explored Manhattan. The negatives remained archived until 2012.
His first solo exhibition was at Akasha Art Projects in 2015, featuring a selection from the series. Eight years later, MANHATTAN 1982: Revisited is his celebrated return to the gallery with a new selection of images.
