Paul Haslip Nova Archaeologia/Dark Remnants

Paul Haslip is a visual artist, designer, educator, and composer.

Haslip’s still-life photography documents raw debris from consumer culture. Whether a plastic bottle, a cigarette package, or a coffee cup, once used, this debris is often left to decay in the urban environment.

Over time, and subjected to both man-made and natural forces, these objects are transformed. They are the new archaeology, dark remnants of forgotten momentary pleasures.
