Selena Phillips-Boyle Doorstep to Doorstep

Doorstep to Doorstep documents essential workers in Québec with dignity and power by creating a series of environmental portraits using medium format, black-and-white film photography.

This project explores the topics of mental load, emotional labour, and the physical toll of labour on the body. Phillips-Boyle photographs each worker at the beginning and end of their work days to create a mirrored duplicity through images, allowing for an exploration of labour’s impact on both body and mind.
