Janne Reuss Thread(t)s and Narratives

Janne Reuss’s handmade and digital photocollages reveal personal narratives of home, place and belonging. Her ongoing interest in her work is to explore the process of remembering and making it visible through her materials and techniques. Her photographs are layered, often overpainted and some parts incorporate thread, adding, in this way, her personal fingerprint to the images. The resulting inner landscapes are mystical in nature: sometimes threatening and raw, other times dream-like and poetic, echoing the complexity of our human nature.
