Mathieu Grenier Mathieu Grenier lives and works in Montreal, Canada. He holds a B.F.A. in Visual Arts and Media from the University of Quebec in Montreal (2011) and an M.F.A. in Studio Art - Photography from the University of Texas Austin (2020). He studied at the Royal College of Art in London UK (2019) and at the Internationale Sommerakademie für bildende Kunst Salzburg (2021). Through a practice that involves installation and photography, Grenier experiments with techniques that extend photography from its 2D surface. Combining alternative photographic processes, UV printing, inkjet printing, and metal, he makes photo based installations that challenges our way of looking at and experiencing photography. His work is driven by an intention to explore our fragmented relationship with images and hyper-connectivity.
