Angela Lewis’ Still Dancing, Dancing Still, captures the unpolished, in-between moments of young contemporary dancers during rehearsal. Adopting a fly-on-the-wall approach, she focuses on movement that feels otherworldly, as if the dancers are transported to another realm, while also capturing genuine connections within the group.
Inspired by her own complicated relationship with dance, Lewis was drawn to the inclusive and supportive environment she observed—a stark contrast to her own experiences. This exhibition features large-format framed photographs, complemented by silk prints that echo the dancer's movements.
