Four exhibitions and installations by six artists use photographs as the starting point for experimentation and reinterpretation. Laura Butler pixelates a family photograph and recreates it in crochet. Nika Belianina and Laura Kay Keeling explore our relationship to nature in collaged and manipulated analogue and digital photographs. Heather Haynes layers paint, thread, and rug hooking to create a textured and complex portrait incorporating Virginia Macdonald's photograph. Jessica Thalmann creates architectural abstractions by folding, tearing, and colouring photographs. By translating photographs into different media and altering by hand and digitally, these artists show the expressive possibilities of the medium. Curated by Lee Petrie
