Even while rushing through the city, meaningful words of love and longing, political protest and playful humour can stir hearts and minds. Urban Scrawl features a wide range of expression inscribed onto benches, sidewalks, and streets of Toronto, captured over a twelve-year span by photographer Henry VanderSpek.
