LUIGI PRIMOLI: L'ISTANTE RITROVATO

A selection of photos by Luigi Primoli. Born in
Paris in 1858, son of Carlotta Bonaparte, a
great-granddaughter of Napoleon, Count Luigi
Primoli grew and studied in Paris. In 1870, he and
his family moved to Rome. At the end of the 80’s
he developed an interest in photography.
He journeyed throughout Europe and, between 1904
and 1906, travelled to India.
The first large exhibition of works by Luigi
Primoli was hosted recently at the Museo Nazionale
d’Arte Orientale, in Rome.
The exhibition, organized, thanks to the
cooperation of the Museo Nazionale d’Arte
Orientale and the Museo Napoleonico in Rome, will
open under the auspices of the Consul General of
Italy in Toronto.
