This series of photos was inspired by the demolition of a residential parking garage in Parkdale. Brown followed the raucous sounds of bulldozers with his camera and when calm finally ensued, he explored the rubble and hollowed out structure. The abandoned and dismantled building told its tale with scared walls, torn concrete, and twisted steel. A sense of beauty and stillness emerged in the midst of the city’s clamour and decimated setting.
