Steve Kean Moving Landscapes II

Reception
-

Steve Kean is a self-taught photographic artist with a disability who spends time travelling across Canada by train, the main vehicle for his artistic inspiration. Kean evokes the familiar feelings of the chaotic transit from dream to reality. Each piece mimics that disorienting experience of half-sleep. At first blurred by speed, then focused in his mind, and lens, some details become clear while others remain ethereal and dream-like. Kean imbues a sense of beauty in movement through space rather than static perspective.
