The exhibition Fabricated Nature explores the artist’s complex relationship with both nature and artifice, intertwining objects of desire, commodities, and collected ephemera—wildflowers from various walks, textures, and found materials. It captures the paradox of being both connected to and alienated from nature, reflecting the tension between longing to reconnect with the natural world while being increasingly distanced from it. Through her distinctive approach to composition, the artist layers scanned images, using the scanner as a painterly lens to create intricate, multi-dimensional work.
