Veronica Moore Aquatic Rumours

Reception
-

While working with aquatic plants, Veronica Moore encountered sheets of numbers created by her mathematician son. Immersed in observing plants like algae and lilies, Moore was reminded of the delicacy of Japanese art, especially ukiyo-e and Hokusai’s lily prints, which capture the essence of aquatic life. Inspired by this, they envisioned their photography engaging with mathematics, using symbols to explore water and plant life. Unlike traditional Japanese art, which portrays plants touching land or water, Moore aims to capture them fully immersed, revealing the profound connection between nature and mathematical beauty.
